“Balancing Act”
THE MANDALA PROJECT - How it came to life
If you know someone whose day would be brightened by this Mandala, please pass it along! Even more magical, with a love note from you!
The Mandala Project: #29
Sometimes I have no idea what to say about a Mandala, nor any clue what to call it. I edit it and set it in place at the top of the blog post and wait to see what it wants to say.
What began to stand out with this one was the delicate diagonal line the daisy seems to be just-about-but-not-quite touching down on. The first name that came in was “Toeing the Line”, but this has a sense of movement in it that that didn’t capture.
There’s a way in which, whether we sense we’re going forward or backward (or sometimes both at the same time), life is a bit of a tumbling spiral. One moment everything feels right side up and then bammo: upside down. But the movement continues. And all the while we’re surrounded by beloved beings who, thank fucking god, are cartwheeling through the Cosmos with us.
We’re all spinning together in a free-fall through the mystery and while sometimes it feels like chaos, we’re also supported by something steadfast that helps us orient: our capacity to get our bearings.
Life continually invites you to return to centre, and to be fluid and playful as it keeps shifting and evolving under your feet.
In order to truly find your balance, you have to trust the experience of losing balance.
When you can harness your curiosity and allow for the unpredictability of life, then instead of futilely clinging to an imaginary ideal, you’re open to connect with your natural agility and meet whatever life sends you with wisdom, presence and grace.
Mandala #30
This Mandala was the foundation for what evolved into a much more complex and elaborate one. Along the way, the simplicity of this one revealed its own unique charm, so it got its own post.
Stay tuned for where Mandala #29 goes next—you’ll hardly recognize it!
